Where do the trips leave from?

What time does the bus leave the mountain?
The bus will open at 4:00 pm and will depart promptly at 4:20 pm. Every effort will be made to make sure no one is left behind but it is the participant’s responsibility to be on the bus.

What is included in the bus fee?
New York Mountain Tours will provide a comfortable round trip motor-coach transport from Westchester & Rockland Co. to our area ski destinations. Our guides will meet and great you in the morning and help get your gear stowed below the bus. Then get out the pillow and take a nap or plan out the day with friends and family on the way up to the mountain. At the end of the day, our guides will get you checked in and a hand out a snack for the ride home. Our motor coaches are equipped with a lavatory and multiple TVs where we will show ski and snowboard films.

Can I leave things on the bus?
Yes, you can leave things on the bus. However, you will not have access to the bus until 4:00pm.

Is there somewhere in the lodge to store my stuff?
Lockers are available throughout the main base lodge and inside the Rental Shop, however, a convenient alternative is Hunter Mountain’s bag check service. Check your bags in the lower level of the Main Lodge, or in the Learning Center reception area and retrieve your items as many times as you would like during the day. Bag check is open 8am-5pm weekends and holidays only.

Before we arrive at the Base Lodge, we will distribute discounted bag check vouchers.

What is included in the Learn to Ski or Snowboard Package?
This package includes a lower mountain lift ticket, group lesson and rental. Everything a beginner needs for a great day on the slopes!


What is the cancellation policy?
If you wish to cancel your trip reservations, please call us at (914) 441-SNOW or mail@newyorkmountaintours.com

Cancellations up to 48 hours prior to the trip will receive a refund.

Cancellations made 48 hours before the trip, on the day of and no-shows will not be refunded.

New York Mountain Tours LLC reserves the right to cancel a trip due to inclement weather or failure to meet minimum reservations.

What will I need to rent equipment at Hunter Mountain?
Hunter Mountain will request a deposit when renting the equipment. A valid drivers license; credit card; valid military id; valid picture school id or $250 in cash are required. All deposits will be returned or destroyed after the rental gear is returned.

Where do I go for the Hunter Mountain group lesson?
As soon as the bus arrives our guide will bring you to the Learning Center. Group lessons are available for age 13 & up “on demand” and last approximately an hour and a half. The last lesson of the day is at 2 pm.
